First of all about Zoom. The site tells us …..
Zoom is the leader in modern enterprise video communications, with an easy, reliable cloud platform for video and audio conferencing, collaboration, chat, and webinars across mobile devices, desktops, telephones, and room systems.
….. what this means is that the application can be used very simply to participate in online meetings of all types. You don’t need any expertise but you do need to know there things:
- You can only use Zoom on a device that has a camera and a microphone. Your phone, tablet or laptop are ideal. If you want to use a desktop computer make sure that it has these accessories available.
- In order to use Zoom you have to download the app onto your device. This you would do in the usual way. There are links on the website to help you.
- There has been some suggestion that Zoom is not a ‘safe’ application. This is not so and Zoom is used widely even at Government level (yes Boris and Donald use it too).
If you are not familiar with Zoom video conferencing media then you can download Using Zoom for the first time here.
In order to join a meeting you will need to know the meeting ID and password.
For East Leake ELCR & Traders these are listed below on this page. Also here are some additional video resources if you want to find out more about using Zoom.
