As an award winning music and sensory classes from birth up to the age of 3 years; Rhythm Time is a really enjoyable experience for children but it is much more than just a sing-along. It is a well thought out musical experience which uses lots of exciting songs and activities to help a child’s development and life skills.
We instil in children a love and understanding of music from an early age. However, when you are involved in educating young children, it is very important that they have lots of fun during the lessons.
About Rhythm Time
How it all began
Hi – I’m Kathy Doolan, founder and MD of Rhythm Time and I want to tell you a little bit about myself and how the world of Rhythm Time began in 1995.
I studied music at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in Glasgow followed by a year at Moray House in Edinburgh where I gained my diploma in secondary and primary music teaching.
In 1989, whilst living in New Zealand, I had my first child and it was really exciting seeing how music and singing helped her speech and general development.
As a new mum, I found I needed flexibility in my working life. I wanted to share the benefits and fun of early music making with parents and children, so I developed the Rhythm Time programme.
Today over 11,000 children enjoy our classes every week. These classes are run by our fantastic franchisees and we all take great pride in delivering top notch and award-winning music classes throughout the country.
And so the musical journey begins…
