The East Leake Traders Association is committed to giving back to the local community. We’re behind a number of events that occur in the village, from the Christmas Light’s switch on to the Reindeer hunt. This Easter we organised two fantastic events that were thoroughly enjoyed by the younger residents.

Between the 6th and 20th of April a number of shops and businesses took part in the first ever Easter Bunny competition.

Armed with answer sheets and a map of the village, participants had to find the bunnies, take note of the letter and work a mystery phrase – the key to winning a chocolate bunny!

Thank you to Arch Communications for organising and also to the Greengrocer for handing out prizes!

Following on from past success, we decided to host another free craft session. East Leake Academy generously allowed us to use a class room and Quorn Country Crafts donated plenty of brilliant materials.  The room was a hive of activity for the full two hours and we certainly saw some fantastic Easter cards being made!

Massive thanks to Una Lacey and Debbie Barrett who gave up their time to organise and run the session.

If you have any feedback we’d love to hear it!

Happy Easter from all our members!
